Because our members train throughout the day, we're looking for trainers who can cover a range of hours — including at least one evening per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to each client's goals and abilities
• Design personalized fitness plans and adjust them as clients progress
• Build strong, trusting relationships with members that keeps them coming back
• Ensure a safe workout environment by following YMCA and certification guidelines
• Maintain accurate session records and client progress notes
• Collaborate with fellow associates to create a welcoming, supportive wellness area
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly

Qualifications

• Current nationally accredited personal training certification, including but not limited to:
• American Council on Exercise (ACE)
• National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
• National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire — we cover the cost)
• 18 years of age or older
• A genuine passion for helping people of all fitness levels reach their goals
• Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging coaching style
• Reliable, professional, and a true team player
