We are hiring additional drivers to service our growing customers.Schedule & Home TimeNOT a home-daily position.Overnight travel required: 3–4 nights per week depending on zone being covered.Monday - Friday flexible schedule.Travel to Naugatuck, CT as needed to replenish cylinder supply.Route StructureUpstate NY routes only.Territory divided into 4 zones.One zone per week.Same general area all week.This position is responsible for:Our Class A Driver (w/Hazmat) will act as a delivery driver transporting Helium compressed gas cylinders to customers on a scheduled route. A typical work week is Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities (including weekends) during peak season (January through June).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintaining load manifests, vehicle documents and electronic logbook.Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order.Safely delivers Helium cylinders to customers; returns empty cylinders to fill plant.Fill helium cylinders at the plant and assist in loading and unloading trailers as neededEstablishes and maintains good customer relations by communicating in person with customers.Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.Complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations.Maintains appropriate drivers’ license and endorsements.Other duties and projects as assigned.The Perks:New International dual axle day cab tractor - new 32 ft enclosed box trailer with cylinder lift gateFull Time Day Shift PositionHourly PayYear-round position (no seasonal layoffs)Up to an annual $2,000 Safe Driving bonus (paid in parts up to $500 quarterly)Yearly Reimbursements for Boots (up to $150 for steel toe/composite toe or $250 for steel toe/composite toe with metatarsal guards.Yearly Reimbursements for Pants (up to $150)Choice of Medical, Dental, Life Insurance & Long-Term DisabilityCompany Paid Short Term Disability401-K with a 50% match up to 6%Driving Incentives6 weeks of Parental leave!Maine Oxy is an Equal Opportunity EmployerRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 yearsCDL A License with HazMat.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
