Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including halls, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts when needed, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support a professional environment by observing patient privacy considerations, helping to manage traffic flow in busy areas, and communicating respectfully with individuals during routine interactions and high-stress situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
