Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist/OR Scrub Technician provides proper and efficient care of the patient in the operating room under the direct supervision of the circulating nurse. He/she knows sterile technique, understands basic anatomy and operative procedures. Applies knowledge of instruments and equipment used in the operating rooms. Shift: Fri, Sat, Sun 0630-1900. Backup call will be required through the week for our overnight dedicated call team.

Preferred: 2 or more years of CST experience. Ortho and general experience.

Sign On Bonus Terms: $20,000 (taxable) bonus to be paid over 2 years of employment. The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past year.

Relocation Bonus Terms: Up to $10,000 (taxable) within 45 days of hire. Bonus amount is based on relocation mileage. Must relocate from greater than 100 miles to be eligible. The relocation bonuses not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past one year.

Position Qualifications:

• Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Tech in Surgery TS-C - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Work Experience: Relevant Work Experience
• Experience Level: Less than 1 year
• Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
