Hospitality Manager

Established and nationally recognized boutique winery, Jax Vineyards, is seeking an experienced tasting room hospitality manager. The candidate will manage our tasting room staff, book private events, plan client outreach events, develop relationships with clients, and craft unique wine experiences around our brand. Unique to established Napa Valley Wineries, Jax manages our hospitality strategy around our urban indoor/outdoor tasting room in SoMa, San Francisco. Our ideal candidate will be capable of thinking strategically, working both autonomously and in a team environment, communicating clearly with team members and clients. Primary responsibilities will include prospecting for private event reservations, booking tasting appointments, and maintaining existing client relationships and inquiries. Candidates must possess a strong networking skill set, be detail orientated, possess a confident consultative selling approach and be supportive of a customer focused experience and service. The candidate will have an exceptional track record as a self-starter, promoting and executing high-quality events in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate the tasting room on a day to day basis, including opening and closing duties, managing the tasting room staff, serving customers, and helping to maintain all relevant technology, such as the point of service and reservation systems. Recruit, hire, train, & manage tasting room associates Help oversee and maintain the tasting room premises, including daily assessment, regular cleaning, and basic maintenance of facilities and equipment Assist in developing tasting room and marketing materials Maintain adequate supply of food, beverage and supplies for tasting room operations Participate in regular strategy discussions with the owners and other team members that aim to improve the business, including the customer experience Plan/coordinate special events with support of the team such as release parties, private tastings and VIP dinners. Maintain a regular log of daily and weekly private event sales calls, prospecting, follow up, contracts, deposits, and confirmations for all reservations and private events. Individual with prospect with local companies, event planners, caterers, and local hotels for wine tastings and private event booking business. Answer, screen and direct incoming tasting and event related telephone calls Coordinating club releases to ensure excellent customer experience Actively assist in social media outreach on various platforms Initiate regular and direct contact with clients to share special offerings and new products (via phone, email, events, tastings) Poor Help manage and create customer updates to database (e.g., address changes, unsubscribe requests) Work with team to create concept/design for regular e-newsletters Work with team to create strategies to grow membership base Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room Manage weekly neighborhood and corporate happy hour events Entering invoices into Quick books Filing monthly reports of sales to states/compliance Applicant must also be able to lift and carry 45 lbs Qualifications & Skills This individual has extremely strong and confident interpersonal skills who loves to engage with people with a positive and welcoming personality. Qualified candidates will have proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Quick books and are committed to a 110% Guest First attitude.
