Manufacturing Engineer I

Abbott seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I for its Vascular Devices division in St. Paul, Minnesota. The role focuses on implementing operational excellence initiatives, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting production efficiency through engineering analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing solutions using statistical methods and mathematical analysis to support operational directives
- Analyze and optimize facility layouts to reduce cycle time and improve productivity
- Perform capacity analysis for headcount and equipment; maintain labor standards and productivity metrics
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities using continuous improvement and DMAIC methodologies
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams on flow, ergonomics, and productivity projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience
- Ability to perform statistical analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and database software
- Lean Manufacturing or Project Management certification preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency preferred
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Compensation: $50,700–$101,300 base
