Project Manager ConstructionPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for project delivery, schedule and budget control, quality assurance, safety compliance, and stakeholder communication. This role requires strong proficiency with BIM and Procore, a thorough understanding of construction documents, and the ability to apply lean construction principles to optimize workflows and outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning, execution and closeout for assigned construction projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are met.Develop, monitor and control project schedules and budgets; implement earned value and progress reporting to track performance.Oversee BIM-based coordination and clash detection processes; integrate BIM deliverables into construction workflows.Administer Procore and other project management platforms to manage construction documents, submittals, RFIs, drawings and records.Manage procurement, subcontractor selection and subcontract administration; coordinate vendor and supplier performance.Review and manage construction documents, shop drawings, submittals and RFIs; conduct thorough shop drawing review and approval workflows.Drive change order management and claims prevention processes; prepare and negotiate change orders and resolve claims as required.Implement lean construction practices to improve productivity, reduce waste and streamline site operations.Coordinate MEP and structural trade coordination efforts; facilitate interdisciplinary meetings to resolve coordination issues.Ensure compliance with building codes (IBC/local), permit requirements and OSHA safety standards; lead site safety and quality control/assurance activities.Perform site supervision visits, monitor workmanship and progress, and provide direction to field teams to maintain project standards.Lead commissioning and closeout activities including punch lists, final inspections, turnover documentation and warranties.Communicate project status, risks and opportunities to owners, design teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders; prepare regular progress reports for leadership.QualificationsRequired: Proven experience in Project Management on construction projects with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.Required: Proficiency in BIM processes and tools and experience coordinating BIM workflows with design and trades.Required: Hands-on experience using Procore (project administration, submittals, RFIs, document control).Required: Strong working knowledge of construction documents, contract administration and field construction processes.Required: Experience applying lean construction principles to improve project delivery.Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.Certifications: PMP, CCM or similar project management certification preferred.Experience: 5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction (or equivalent).Technical: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and/or PlanGrid is desirable.Scheduling & Cost: Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling and progress reporting; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling is a plus.Contracts & Procurement: Experience with construction contract administration, subcontractor management, procurement and change order management.Field Skills: RFIs and shop drawing review, site supervision, quality control/assurance, OSHA safety management and permit & code compliance.Systems Coordination: MEP coordination, structural coordination and working knowledge of HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing systems preferred.Risk & Claims: Experience in risk management, claims prevention and claims management is desirable.Reporting & Controls: Experience with earned value management, material takeoffs and commissioning activities.Communication: Excellent stakeholder communication, negotiation and leadership skills with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401k
