Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Weekend Nights

Location

Washington, IA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 12-Hour Shifts (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during weekend night shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient treatment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity emergency patients and trauma care
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in a high-volume environment
