AirBoss Rubber Compounding, 500 AirBoss Pkwy., Scotland Neck, North Carolina, United States of America Job Description Maintenance Manager The Maintenance Manager’s role is to oversee the optimal performance and maintenance of all plant and building equipment, facilities, and maintenance associates. They will assess risks, research new equipment, recommend procedures and practices to improve operational efficiency and manage expenditures and budgets. Responsibilities Manage the Preventative Maintenance system to achieve or increase machine utilization rates as established annually. Implement and manage TPM program. Investigate and coordinate solutions to problems and excessive costs identified in the Maintenance department. Utilize new technology and Lean Manufacturing principles and processes to maximize efficiency. Develop and execute contingency plans when required, relating to mechanical and/or electrical aspects of our processes. Responsible for hiring, evaluations, discipline and terminations of employees in conjunction with Human Resources and Plant Manager. Work with contractors to address plant and equipment improvements. Work with Government agencies to schedule routine inspections for compliance to fire protection, pressure vessels, electrical, and elevators. Ensure all work done by plant tradespeople adheres to local codes. Source and investigate new plant equipment. Hands‑on mentor who communicates with and coaches all Maintenance associates to ensure compliance with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies. Perform all duties for a manager as outlined in the Internal Responsibilities section of the AirBoss Health & Safety program manual. Oversee all new equipment installations to ensure compliance with UL standards and OSHA rules. Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO procedures. Provide support, direction, guidance, and problem‑solving assistance. Additional duties as assigned. Required Experience, Education, and Skills Trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical or Engineer with at least ten years of relevant work experience. Excellent leadership skills. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and collaborative skills. Proven skills and track record in preventive maintenance, TPM, reliability‑based asset management. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office and Microsoft Project. Previous experience with automated control systems PLCs & PCs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
