We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join a local machining company in the Waupaca/Appleton, WI area for a direct hire.

Target Pay: $30-35/HR

Job Summary:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Quality Assurance department while providing hands-on technical support to contract machining operations. This position supervises Quality Assurance personnel and ensures products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements through effective inspection processes, quality system management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Quality Supervisor supports compliance with customer requirements, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and ITAR regulations while overseeing inspection activities, CMM programming, First Article Inspections, corrective actions, calibration activities, and quality improvement efforts. This role serves as a key resource for resolving quality concerns with customers, suppliers, and internal teams while promoting a culture of quality and accountability.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise, train, mentor, and provide daily direction to Quality Assurance personnel while coordinating departmental priorities and workload.

• Oversee all inspection activities for incoming material, first-piece, in-process, subcontracted process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

• Develop, maintain, and validate servo and vision CMM programs; perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and complete AS9102 documentation as required.

• Lead investigations of quality issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ITAR requirements, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality procedures.

• Manage the calibration program for company-owned and employee-owned inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Support internal, customer, and certification audits by preparing documentation, participating in audit activities, and completing required follow-up actions.

• Maintain accurate quality records including inspection documentation, material certifications, nonconformances, and related quality data.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.

• Monitor quality performance metrics and provide feedback, reporting, and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 year’s experience in CMM Programming from 3D models using PC-DMIS

• Minimum 3-5 year’s experience in the Quality Field as a Technician, Inspector, or CMM Programmer.

• Strong AS-9102 and GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5)

• Experience working within regulated environments including ISO-TS, ITAR, and CMMC

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
