About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: SC State License Required Certifications: BLS; ARRT (M); SCRQSA (M) Must-Have: Experience in screening and diagnostic mammograms is required. Experience with stereotactic biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound biopsies is preferred but not required. Must provide a radiation badge, as the facility does not provide one to travelers. Description: The position is for a Mammography Tech. The shift is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The daily caseload is 15-20 mammograms. There is no weekend requirement; participation is voluntary if events are scheduled. This position does not require on-call duty. The technologist will remain within the Breast Center and will not float to other areas. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS, ARRT (M), and SCRQSA (M). It is preferred to have experience with Hologic and Siemens equipment. The facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks. Candidates must submit all time-off requests at the time of application. This facility is a Level III trauma and acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds. All candidates must be aware that during hurricane season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. Candidates should ensure they can comply with pre-start documentation processes on time.
