Position: Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil

Location: Athens, GA

Salary: $140,000-$185,000 + bonus

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support the pursuit and delivery of complex heavy civil projects, including site development, roadway construction, underground utilities, industrial facilities, and mission-critical data centers. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission while partnering with operations, project management, and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for earthwork, site development, utilities, paving, and concrete scopes.

• Develop conceptual, design-development, and final bid estimates.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and production-based cost analysis.

• Evaluate drawings, specifications, and project risks to ensure accurate pricing.

• Coordinate with operations teams to validate means, methods, production rates, and schedules.

• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing.

• Support industrial and data center projects, including accelerated schedules and complex site logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 10+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.

• Strong background in sitework, earthwork, underground utilities, roadways, and civil infrastructure.

• Experience with industrial and/or mission-critical projects preferred.

• Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools.

• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
