Our organization, a 25-bed critical access hospital, is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Geriatrician to join our skilled and collaborative team.

This position will primarily be located at our Damariscotta campus, where you will provide care to residents in long-term care facilities. There is also the potential to broaden your practice beyond the nursing home setting, depending on your interests. This could include inpatient care at other facilities within our network or primary care at various outpatient clinics associated with our hospital.

You will be a vital member of the Division of Geriatrics, a statewide team dedicated to offering comprehensive geriatric services. These services encompass both inpatient and outpatient care, community resources, and access to healthcare professionals with specialized training in geriatrics. Although the main Geriatrics team operates out of Portland, your role will be crucial in extending these services throughout the MidCoast region of Maine.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Education/Training:

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related field.
• Fellowship training in Geriatrics is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Eligibility for licensure in the State of Maine.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty.
• Capability to secure and maintain credentialing and privileges at designated hospital sites.

Compensation packages may include recruitment bonuses, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and quality incentives, depending on eligibility. The annual base salary for this role is set at $250,000.
