From your PASSION to ours:Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Auto Palletizer based in Buffalo, NY .
Summary: Ability to operate entire palletization system, including operation of forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
1.\tResponsible for all equipment and its efficient operation by working directly with all departments. 2.\tNeed to be flexible, covering 2nd & 3rd shifts. 3.\tMust also perform shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transactions daily. 4.\tPerform pre-shift operational inspection to determine the condition of all palletization equipment.5.\tMonitors all cells to ensure proper operation and efficiency. 6.\tPerform product changeover(s) as needed.7.\tPerforms minor repairs necessary to keep equipment running without causing downtime.8.\tMaintains an open line of communication with each packaging department and supervision.9.\tContinuously monitors for proper product packaging and labeling.10.\tKeeps the work area neat and clean.11.\tSchedules and perform periodic maintenance on machinery. 12.\tCoordinates with the maintenance staff any necessary future repairs or major repairs, including making out work orders to be completed when machine is down.

Requirements

Qualifications:

*\tPrevious food manufacturing experience preferred.

*\tHigh-speed packaging experience required.

*\tPrevious forklift experience required (PIT).

*\tMust be mechanically inclined.

*\tValid NYS Driver's License a must.

*\tAS400-Prism knowledge a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

*\tHigh School Diploma/GED.
