Locum Pharmacist – San Carlos, AZ

Start ASAP | Ongoing Assignment | Up to $78/hour | Full-Time

A thriving Tribal 638 healthcare facility serving the San Carlos Apache community is seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join its collaborative pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a technologically advanced pharmacy while making a meaningful impact in an underserved community.

• Location: San Carlos, AZ

• Start: ASAP

• Assignment: Ongoing

• Schedule: Variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Compensation: Up to $78/hour

• Setting: Tribal Hospital Pharmacy

• Call: None

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona preferred)

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD

• BLS certification

• Inpatient pharmacy experience preferred

• Ability to work variable shifts

• Must pass background check and drug screen

• Process medication orders accurately and efficiently

• Verify and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Counsel patients on medication use and safety

• Maintain current clinical medication knowledge

• Process controlled substances in compliance with policy and law

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the pharmacy team to provide exceptional patient care

• Adhere to pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards

• Team-oriented and dependable

• Flexible and adaptable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Critical thinker with excellent clinical judgment

• Positive attitude and commitment to patient care

• Robust pharmacy operation utilizing ScriptPro robotics, Omnicell dispensing systems, and automated technology

• Approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily
