The Medical Assistant will work independently in a busy private practice, managing a heavy patient load of 20+ patients daily. This role requires supporting one healthcare provider by handling multiple clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Manage and maintain medical records using EHR systems
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Assist healthcare provider during examinations
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide instructions and answer questions
• Perform laboratory tasks and process insurance claims
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in medical assisting
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong patient interaction skills
• Knowledge of clinical procedures
• High attention to detail
