Registered Nurse Er (Adult)

Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 7p-7a

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every Other

Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

Call Off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Charting

Charting System: EPIC experience required

RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission

Licenses and Certifications

Active License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license. (New York is not a Compact state)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and valid NIHSS required

Clinical Skills

IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and maintenance of IVs; administration of IV vasopressors

Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management

Knowledgeable in CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)

Cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Emergency care in adult and pediatric settings, with experience in gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma

Familiarity with isolation precautions, triage, and pediatric spinal cord injury

Unit Details

Ratios: 1:5; Adults and Geriatrics with various emergency diagnoses

Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment

Floating: May be required to float within skillset

Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
