Treasury Analyst

Avid Systems LLC is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support a DC government client in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting cash flow management, investment activity, financial reporting, treasury operations, and related financial analysis. This role involves a mix of analytical, reporting, reconciliation, and administrative responsibilities to support effective cash management and financial operations. The Treasury Analyst will work with financial data, treasury-related databases, accounting systems, and internal stakeholders to help ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient treasury processes. This is a hybrid position for local DMV candidates only. Candidates must be able to report onsite to the DC office up to 3 days per week. In-person interviews may be required. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage daily cash positions, short‑term forecasts, and cash flow needs. Reconcile cash accounts and transactions, including wire transfers and ACH payments, with general ledger postings. Track and analyze cash and investment activity to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information. Develop and interpret analytics related to cash flow, investments, and other treasury‑related data. Prepare comprehensive reports on cash and investment activities, including cash note reports, investment reports, and cash flow projections. Analyze financial records and data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Manage and reconcile treasury databases and ensure alignment with operational teams. Post entries to ERP and accounting systems in compliance with established guidelines. Assist with final reports, including data editing, chart creation, and presentation materials. Develop and update procedures and policies to reflect current processes and improve operational efficiency. Support other cash management functions and departmental projects as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in a treasury analyst or similar role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends. Proficiency with financial management systems and software, especially Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of cash and investment accounting principles. Ability to develop and communicate reports vertically and horizontally across an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Highly Desired Qualifications Experience supporting government, public‑sector, or regulated financial operations. Experience with cash management, investment reporting, ACH payments, wire transfers, and general ledger reconciliation. Experience preparing financial reports, charts, dashboards, presentations, and cash flow projections. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze, organize, and present financial data clearly. Experience working with ERP, accounting, or financial management systems.
