Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 17 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Jun 22, 2026\n Length: 17 weeks\n Openings: 3\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment.Details\n \n Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting (44-bed unit)\n Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)\n Every other weekend required\n Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, with possible 1:6\n CNA support available at approximately 1:8–1:10, also utilized as sitters\n Telemetry patients present but monitoring is handled on a separate unit\n Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (medical patients), and EC for acute care patient holds\n Charting in MEDITECH; experience preferred but not required\n Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis\n 17-week contract\n Requirements\n \n Active GA or Compact RN license required\n Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)\n Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care specialty experience required\n At least 1 prior travel assignment required\n Driver's license required for consideration\n Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (measured from the address on their driver's license)\n Additional Information\n \n Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general and EMR training followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation\n Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible\n Requested time off must be arranged prior to the start of the assignment\n Caribbean blue scrubs required\n Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 residents located 175 miles south of Atlanta\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-716041.
