Senior IT Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst to serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

This role requires strong business analysis experience, knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
• Create functional specifications, business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), use cases, and user stories.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and project teams throughout the SDLC.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution discussions.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and user story grooming.
• Define test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Analyze data using SQL and review data models, ERDs, and system workflows.
• Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements to improve business value.
• Assist with project planning, prioritization, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related IT experience.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience working directly with software development teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and test planning.
• Data analysis experience including SQL querying and understanding of data models/ERDs.

• Experience with SAP technologies including:
• SAP ERP
• SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ)
• SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Experience supporting IT financial planning and budgeting activities.
• Experience with reporting, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
