The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role collaborates with design engineering, production, quality, and leadership teams to support new product development, optimize manufacturing methods, conduct process improvements, perform root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. The position requires strong manufacturing engineering experience, process optimization expertise, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and document manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with design engineering, production, quality, sales, and management teams.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
• Analyze new product designs and manufacturing methods.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
• Identify manufacturing waste and improve production efficiency.
• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
• Conduct Process Capability studies and recommend improvements.
• Estimate production, labor, and material costs.
• Participate in root cause analysis for production issues.
• Recommend cost-saving opportunities through process and design improvements.
• Support prototype development and manufacturing readiness.
• Research and implement new manufacturing technologies.
• Design equipment layouts and optimize workflow.
• Develop manufacturing testing methods.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.
• Perform risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Train production personnel on new manufacturing processes.
• Improve equipment utilization and production capacity.
• Maintain safe manufacturing practices.
• Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Support domestic and occasional international travel when required.

Qualifications and Certifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Production Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with manufacturing process development.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience performing process capability studies.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis.
• Experience estimating production costs.
• Experience with risk assessments.
• Experience working in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Heat transfer or heat exchanger manufacturing experience preferred.
• Radiator manufacturing experience preferred.
