Maintenance Full Time Indirect Farwell, MI, US Salary Range: $28.00 To $32.00 Hourly Summary This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and improvement of all machinery, guarding, CNC benders, end formers, welders, stamping presses, and other various equipment Essential Functions: Diagnose and correct problems. The issues could be mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or any combination. Maintain tooling, repair set up problems, conduct first and last piece to verify set up. Perform Preventative/Predictive Maintenance activities, which include taking measurements, making adjustments, replacing worn-out parts, and calibration. Complete all paperwork and documentation necessary to communicate work completed, including shift reports, work order completion, and item consumption. Maintaining a clean and functional work area. All other duties required by Management. Additional Responsibilities: Assist the Engineering Department with the implementation of new equipment. Work with the Safety Department to ensure all facets of the foundry meet or exceed our safety standards. Assists in other areas of plant operations as required. Understand and follow all of Melling's policies and procedures. Skills Must be able to work safely Must have a mechanical aptitude Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment & buildings Ability to perform mechanical repairs on equipment & buildings Competent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform minor electrical repairs Must be able to read and understand drawings, blueprints and schematics Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and all facets of machine repair Ability to work independently as well as with others Must be able to work on ladders with various height levels Drive a forklift A machinist or tool and die maker shall have a college and/or other certified metal working program certificate or four years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Knowledge and/or experience with metal working equipment are required. Welding experience or formal metallurgical education preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
