89A Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist

Job Description It’s up to you to keep the back of house stocked and ready to go at a moment’s notice. As an Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will manage munition inventory, perform accounting procedures for ammunition, explosives, and associated explosive components, and maintain hardware and software systems as part of stock control and accounting duties. Key Responsibilities Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using both automated and manual procedures. Maintain hardware and software systems and manual records required for stock control and accounting of ammunition and explosives. Carry out automated issue, receipt, shipment, turn‑in, and maintenance transfer of ammunition using a data browser. Create RFID tags, generate reports, and input data, uploading and downloading automated data processing equipment. Execute individual and collective warrior tasks and battle drills. Skills and Attributes Interest in algebra, chemistry, physics, geometry, and trigonometry. Aptitude for planning and organizing. Effective communication skills. Ability to work calmly under stress. Training and Compensation Training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training and 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including classroom and field components. Requirements Enlistment in the Army National Guard. Minimum junior year in high school, high school diploma, or GED. Age between 17 and 35. Pass physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
