Surgery Nurse

Job Summary A Surgery Nurse at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center will prepare patients for surgery and provide exceptional nursing care in the operating room, serving as a patient advocate and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Assist the surgeon and surgical team in the OR Care for patients before, during, and after procedures Develop and implement the nursing care plan for surgical patients Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies Demonstrate compassion and empathy toward patients Required Qualifications Diploma, ADN, or foreign equivalent One year of experience in medical/surgical, ICU, or telemetry settings Must be an Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) American Heart Association BLS mandatory AACLS mandatory within 6 months of hire Preferred Qualifications BSN degree Benefits Dignity Health Education Benefit program: up to $18,000 for full‑time employees and up to $9,000 for part‑time employees, available after 180 days of employment.
