Electrical Systems Development Engineer

We have an exciting opening for a Power Systems R&D Engineer with a leading technology company in San Jose, CA. This position will focus on cutting-edge power electronics, power conversion, high-voltage systems, and innovative power platforms for various applications.The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with expertise in power electronics.This role offers relocation assistance for eligible candidates in North America and potential visa support for H1B, TN, and Green Card applicants.Travel requirements will involve around 20-25% of the time, including international trips to Europe and Asia.This is a unique opportunity that emphasizes advanced development, prototyping, system design, and addressing complex engineering challenges at high power scales.Duties IncludeDevelop and assess high-power power conversion systemsSupport R&D projects and prototype designConduct efficiency and thermal analysis, along with system validationLead lab testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluationsIdentify and resolve technical issues and enhance design solutionsEngage in global collaboration with R&D teams worldwideContribute to the development of next-gen power systemsRequirementsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering or a relevant fieldHands-on experience with high-voltage power systemsStrong background in lab testing and system optimizationAbility to work on advanced development projectsInterest in customer-focused problem-solvingBilingual skills are a plusAdditional InformationSalary Range: $180K–$200K20% Bonus PotentialTravel: 20-25%, including international tripsRelocation Assistance for North American candidatesVisa Support Available for eligible candidatesThis role provides a chance to be part of a dynamic R&D team tackling real-world engineering challenges and shaping the future of power systems.
