Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: NW Houston, TX

Pay: $70,000-$75,000/year

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join their team in NW Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing and analytical experience, along with hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now . A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, maintaining employee records, and supporting payroll compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now
• Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
• Audit payroll reports and identify discrepancies prior to payroll processing
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and process employee changes
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, and other adjustments
• Reconcile payroll registers, tax reports, and payroll-related accounts
• Assist with payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Prepare payroll reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends or discrepancies
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation
• Support payroll audits and provide requested documentation
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information
• Assist with process improvements and payroll-related projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
• 3+ years of payroll experience
• ADP Workforce Now experience required
• Experience with multi-state payroll preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
