Position Details LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse PRN Mercy - Ozark, Arkansas Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Minimum Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable educational experience and successful licensure. Licensure : Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. Preferred Qualifications Certification(s) : The following certifications may be required based on position/unit or must be obtained within specified timeframe. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN‑IV Certification must be previously completed or completed within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit‑specific certifications as required. Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lb. on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat during each shift. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Why Mercy?
