Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to safely operate company vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and supplies. The role involves performing construction labor duties on active job sites, assisting with loading, unloading, and movement of materials, and supporting crews with daily construction activities. The candidate will also operate equipment when assigned, follow all safety policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Travel to job sites throughout Iowa and surrounding areas is required. The position also involves assisting with project completion while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform construction labor duties as needed on active job sites.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials.
• Support crews with daily construction activities.
• Operate equipment when assigned.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Travel to job sites as needed throughout Iowa and surrounding areas.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• CDL, Class A required.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles and hauling materials/equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction labor throughout the workday.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
• Willingness to operate equipment and perform labor duties as needed.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight when required.

• Ability to operate various construction equipment controls.
• Desire to learn multiple aspects of the business.
• Team-oriented attitude with willingness to assist wherever needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is based in New Sharon, IA with a Monday-Friday schedule and standard hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturdays and overtime may be required. The role involves outdoor construction work with exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, dust, diesel fumes, and noisy conditions. Frequent lifting of 100+ pounds is required, and travel and overnight stays may be necessary. The schedule is determined by weather, project deadlines, and operational needs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grimes, IA.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
