Acorn Hill Animal Hospital, a trusted small animal practice in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to guide our practice, mentor our team, and shape the future of our hospital.

Our state‑of‑the‑art facility includes surgical and multi‑faceted medical equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in‑house laboratory, a pharmacy, and so much more! We provide complete care including preventative and wellness, radiology, dentistry, surgery, rehabilitation, hospitalization capabilities, daytime ER care (if our schedule allows), in‑house bloodwork, and end‑of‑life care. We also partner with our local community, including a Licensed Dog Trainer, who works with our patients on behavior management. We are an engaged team dedicated to growth and development, mentorship, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • 5+ years of veterinary practice experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • Strong commitment to ethical practice and clinical excellence.
  • Ability to delegate effectively, communicate clearly, and inspire your team.
