Nurse Practitioner

Provide medical services in collaboration with a licensed physician Implement treatment plans in coordination with the supervising physician Inform patients about the medical components of their treatment Mentor and conduct professional development activities in medical subjects relevant to patient treatment Participate in required trainings and comply with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements Develop and present training content on medical topics relevant to substance use disorders and general health practices Perform medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise Ensure implementation of medical quality health standards for patients and employees Provide medical input into program philosophy, treatment services, and patient care Respond to emergency care providers requiring consultation for program patients Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospitals involved in treating program patients Attend weekly treatment team meetings, seminars, and training Maintain understanding of drug/alcohol abuse, addiction, and current treatment information Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients, team members, and constituents Ensure the treatment center meets accreditation standards related to medical, health, and safety issues Requirements Master’s degree or equivalent Active state licensure (FNP/APRN/CNP/PMHNP) 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred At least 1 year of experience in an addiction treatment setting preferred D.E.A licensure as required by BrightView Ability to perform medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise Basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction Ability to comply with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in providing medical services in collaboration with licensed physicians, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Possesses strong knowledge of substance use disorders and the ability to develop effective training content for medical topics.
