Inspector I

HotFoot Recruiters is hiring an Inspector I for a growing manufacturing operation. This is an entry-level quality inspection opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in developing hands-on inspection and quality experience within a production environment.

The Inspector I will work under the direction of Quality Engineering and will inspect incoming and/or finished goods using blueprints, work instructions, inspection procedures, and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and finished parts to engineering specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Use inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, Go/No-Go gauges, multimeters, and other measuring devices.
• Identify assemblies and components using blueprints and pick lists.
• Prepare accurate and detailed Inspection Rejection Reports (IRRs) when nonconforming material is identified.
• Enforce established inspection and quality standards.
• Navigate quality and documentation systems including PLM, NET Inspect, QAD, and Docuware.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and company procedures.
• Support accurate quality documentation and inspection records.
• Participate in 5S activities to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work closely with Quality Engineering, production teams, and other departments as needed.
• Perform additional inspection and quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in quality inspection or manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes required.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and pick lists.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn quality/documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively with production-floor employees.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction of whole numbers.
• English-Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, quality inspection, assembly, or production experience is a plus.
