Convenience Store Lead

As a Convenience Store Lead, you'll lead a well-stocked and maintained department while providing superior customer service. You may assist with supervisory responsibilities, such as training and developing Partners. Key responsibilities include performing store lead operations and training, providing work direction and training to department Partners, complying with store operating procedures, ensuring other Partners comply as well, assisting with inventory control, receiving trucks, and ensuring communication of vendor stock conditions to appropriate parties. You will also be responsible for providing superior customer service, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and using suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales. Additionally, you will ensure the preparation of fresh food according to recipe specifications and SOPs, ensure proper handling and temperature integrity of all ingredients, product, and equipment operation, and comply with store operating procedures and H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards. You will receive trucks, load, unload, move product, complete all paperwork, ensure compliance with receiving-related SOPs, and perform random audits determined by Loss Prevention. Qualifications & Key Requirements

Age Requirement: 18+
Work Experience: 1+ years of experience in retail, customer service, convenience, quick serve, and/or food service, or related experience leading a team - Required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Verbal / written communication skills - Required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals - Required
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence - Required
Ability to speak effectively before groups - Required
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form - Required
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations - Required
Ability to become proficient on H-E-B systems, technology, and computer skills - Required
Ability to work evenings, late night, and overnight - Required
Motivation to grow and learn with the company - Required
Ability to work opposite shifts from Manager - Required
Education: Associate's Degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience - Required
Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation, Safety Training, Checker Training, AST Training, Food Safety training, and MSB Training - upon hire
