Maintenance Electrician

Job Description Position Title: Maintenance Electrical Technician - Bay Sheets Pay Rate $47.30 / hr. Category/Shift : Hourly Full-Time - Must be flexible to work all three shifts, work 12 hours as need, Saturdays and Sundays as needed. 1 st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 2 nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM 3 rd Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Physical Location : Gilroy Bay Sheets 6971 Alexander Street Gilroy, CA 95020 The Job You Will Perform: Safely provide maintenance support to our fast-paced Sheet Facility that is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state of the art for the corrugated industry. Utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics. Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, finding root cause of failure. Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems. Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills. Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as a member of a team maintaining safety, quality & productivity. Engaged in preventative maintenance processes through facility. Willingness to cross train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities. Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order The Skills You Will Bring: At least one year of successful mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility. On-the-job success in safety, attendance and quality of work expected. Maintenance experience in corrugated a plus. Strong knowledgeable of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical and electronics technologies. Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills. Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities. Willing and able to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as there is a constant demand for overtime in our maintenance department. Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work orders.
