TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pain Management RN in Rancho Mirage, California, 92270!

Job Title: Pain Management Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pain Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Traveler must be proficient in EPIC No first time travelers Must have pain management, PACU, or OR nurse experience Description: Pain Management RN working 5 days a week on variable starts based on cases. The facility requires references. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, opening at 5:45 AM and usually finishing by 5:00 PM, flexing with the surgeon. The patient population consists of adults undergoing interventional pain management procedures. The average daily census is 40 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3. Floating may be required according to skill level. Travelers may float to two locations, based on need. No weekends, no call, and no holidays are required. The unit is a procedural area with 10 beds for pre/post-procedure care and 2 procedure rooms. Approximately 45 procedures are performed daily, making it a very busy environment. Most cases use local anesthesia, while the remainder requires general anesthesia. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Candidates should have experience with various pain management procedures and skills in IV starts, monitoring vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting are essential. The case mix includes local injections and radiofrequency ablation. Travelers may be asked to float to another unit of their specialty if needed.
