Manager, Venue Security (Central Planning & Operations) LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. The Venue Security Manager ( Central Planning and Operations) will play a pivotal role in the design, planning , and integration of Ven ue Security for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can work collaboratively with multiple functional areas (departments,) government and public safety agencies , and a diverse set of private stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of security and operational efficiency during the Games. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication ski lls. T his position reports to the Director , Venue Security . Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Integration: Primary representative of the Safety and Security Departmentfor critical centralized planning tasks, including, but not limitedtoprivate security officer coverage planning, developing standard infrastructure and furniture, fixtures and equipmentplansfor security spaces in all Venues, Developstandardized security technology overlays for all LA28 Venue Security Spacesin collaboration withmembers of the Safety and SecurityTeam, Event Management, Transportation, Logistics,Venue Partners,Private Securityprovidersand Public Safety Agencies. Developvenue-basedsecurity plans that provide the highest level of Security while minimizing impacts to critical event operations. Developunifiedsecurityplans withsupport frominternal teams and external partners (law enforcement, transportation authorities, emergency services, and private vendors) Develop and integrate plans forPre-GamesTest Eventswith key stakeholders. Serve as themain point of contact/liaison for the Safety & Security Departmentwith key functional areas, Venuecontacts, government/public safety agencies, as required. Contribute toriskand Venueassessmentstoidentifyvulnerabilities Develop mitigationstrategies andoversee implementation ofapprovedsecurity plans. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as international best practices for event security. Operational Coordination: Oversee and deliver the LA28 approved Security Operation Plan at assigned Venue(s)and ensure adherence to all approved LA28 Policies and Proceduresat the Venue at Games time. Overseeprivate security partners during thepre-Games periodat Venues and construction sites.Complete incident reports and dailystatus reports as required. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison betweenLA28 Functional Areas, assigned Public Safetyand SecurityAgencies,and the Safety and Security Department, as assigned. Manage relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies,regulatoryentities,state/regional traffic management organizations,and service providers. ProjectManagement: Chairplanningmeetings or working groups, as assigned, to ensuretimelydelivery ofmilestones anddeliverables. Complete regular status reports,draft and share meeting notes and agendas, anddraftpolicy and procedure documents, asrequired. Minimum of5+years of experience in a faste-paced,venuesafety/security position. Experience incross functionalsecurityplanning and collaboration. Experienceinprivate securityplanning and management,event security,and eventlogisticsplanning,specifically international, multi-sport eventspreferred. Experience working with the federal,state,or local government is preferred. Experience in eventsecurityplanning or large-scale project management is preferred. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. High levelof discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information. Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making Passion for sports, community engagement, or involvement in large-scale events. Excellentorganizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education: Bachelor’s degreeSecurity/Law Enforcement,Emergency Management,Project Management,or a related field preferred. Certifications or specialized training inSecurity, Law Enforcement, Public Safety,and/orProject Management, preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The positionisbasedinLos Angeles with in-person attendancerequired. The LA28 office is anopen-planworkingenvironment;employees must be able to work efficiently in anopen-cubicleenvironment. During the planning phase, therewillbeoccasionalrequirements to worklong shifts,hours outside of traditional business hours/days to supportdeliverables andspecial events, travel, and the 2028 Games. The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000-$115,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
