Role Description The Optician role at EYEWEAR OF STUART, INC. is a full-time, on-site position based in Stuart, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting clients with frame and lens selection, interpreting prescriptions, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring proper fit and adjustments of eyewear. The Optician collaborates with optometrists and other eye care professionals to support eye exams, explain lens options, and educate clients on proper eyewear use and care. The role also involves providing courteous customer service, handling orders and repairs, maintaining product displays, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. This position requires consistent in-person interaction with clients in a retail medical setting. Qualifications Strong knowledge of optics and basic understanding of optometry principles, including lens types, materials, and prescription interpretation. Demonstrated customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and resolve concerns professionally. Experience supporting eye exams and working collaboratively with eye care professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient services. Attention to detail in measurements, frame adjustments, and quality checks, with solid organizational and time-management abilities. Prior experience as an optician or in optical retail is preferred; relevant certification or licensure in opticianry in Florida is a plus. Comfort working in an on-site, patient-facing environment and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine manual tasks.
