Associate Procurement AgentBoeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is looking for an Associate Procurement Agent (Level 2) to join our team in Hialeah, FL or Wichita, KS.The ideal candidate integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies. Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions. Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements. Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management. Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.Position Responsibilities:Effectively manage priorities for a high volume of supplier purchase orders/contractsOversee source selection for parts and servicesManage contractual documents and binding agreements including preparing, negotiating, executing, and documenting Request for Proposals (RFP), supplier contracts, and purchase orders in accordance with regulatory requirements and Boeing proceduresSupport Proposal Board activity including gathering supplier costs and lead time inputs to support customer proposals, Requests for Information (RFI), and business development opportunitiesGathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities to ensure delivery, quality, and financial stabilityManage supplier performance, interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditionsInitiate supplier improvement activities, while integrating and aligning with program business unit goals and strategiesCommunicate and engage with stakeholders to ensure that program and customer strategies are integrated into supplier source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategiesCommunicate across functions, programs, and suppliers to effectively manage risks, issues and opportunitiesLead special projects to execute continuous improvement initiativesCoach, mentor, and train junior team membersPossess complete understanding, ability, and knowledge to act independently when working routine problems or situations; Possess complete knowledge of company and local policies, procedures and regulationsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)3+ total years of related experience2+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing1+ years of experience with basic ERP system functionality such as Systems Applications and Processing (SAP) and/or Procurement to Pay (PTP)Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and WordExperience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontractsExperience with interacting directly with suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposalsPreferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higher preferred – Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study4+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or BuyerAPICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM)Experience working in a distribution business environmentExperience in commodity / product knowledgeExperience with strategic sourcing and managing supplier performance
