Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 17 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 17 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS certification, and at least 1 year of experience.Details\n \n Acute Care Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting\n 44-bed unit with 40 staffed beds\n Patient ratios of 1:5, potentially 1:6, for both day and night shifts\n CNAs available at a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio, sometimes used as sitters\n Telemetry monitoring available but monitored on a separate unit\n Uses MEDITECH EMR; prior experience preferred but not required\n 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p\n Every other weekend required\n Holiday coverage as needed\n Floating required to all acute care units, cardiology, or the Emergency Center for patient holds\n Requirements\n \n Active GA or compact RN license required\n BLS certification (AHA) required\n NIHSS certification (AHA) required\n Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required\n At least 1 prior travel assignment required\n BSN not required for this position\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit\n General orientation is 1 week and includes EMR training\n Floor-specific orientation is 2 days\n Caribbean Blue scrub color required\n Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate\n Candidates employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for this assignment\n First-time travelers may be considered given prior experience requirements are met\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-747444.
