Data Entry Typist

Sioux Valley Family Health is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Typist to support our administrative and healthcare operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in electronic databases and records while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter patient, administrative, and other organizational information into computer systems and databases.
• Review documents and records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Update existing records and correct data-entry errors as needed.
• Type and format correspondence, forms, reports, and other documents.
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper records.
• Verify information against source documents before entering or updating data.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with company policies and applicable privacy requirements.
• Assist administrative staff with filing, scanning, document preparation, and other clerical duties.
• Communicate with team members to resolve missing or inconsistent information.
• Meet established accuracy, productivity, and turnaround-time standards.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous data entry, typing, clerical, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong typing and computer skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately enter information while maintaining a consistent work pace.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar office software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• Experience working with electronic health records or healthcare databases is a plus.
• Strong proofreading and error-detection skills.
• Dependable, professional, and organized approach to work.
• Ability to learn new software and office systems quickly.
