Distribution EngineerWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Power Distribution Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for entry-level professionals with an engineering degree who are eager to start a career in power systems and electrical distribution. You will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and layout of overhead and underground power distribution systems.Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing.Support the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, field engineers, and utility representatives.Conduct site visits to gather data and support construction activities.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, and power system analysis programs.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Eagerness to learn and grow within the power distribution field.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD and GIS, with exposure to power system analysis programs. The role requires collaboration with a variety of cross-functional teams and may include site visits to gather data and support construction activities. It is important to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations while working both independently and as part of a team.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntersville, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
