Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Telemetry / PCU for a 13-week contract position in Newport, Vermont. The RN will provide nursing care across Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patient populations in a 25-bed critical access hospital .

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and PCU patients.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions and escalation of care.

• Perform Charge Nurse responsibilities and provide clinical leadership during assigned shifts.

• Float to other hospital units, including the Emergency Department and MCH, based on staffing and patient-care needs.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner and participate in required departmental education sessions.

Requirements

• Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) License Required by Start of Assignment; Licensure May Be Obtained Upon Acceptance.

• Minimum 5 Years of Registered Nursing Experience Required.

• Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nursing Experience Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Charge Nurse Experience and Ability to Work Independently, Float Between Units, and Cover Night, Weekend, and Holiday Shifts Required.

The Med/Surg Telemetry / PCU Registered Nurse will provide skilled, adaptable, and patient-centered nursing care while supporting safe clinical operations across multiple hospital units.
