GIS Developer

Requirements We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, or a related discipline. We are looking for at least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS or other GIS platforms and geospatial technologies. We expect familiarity with software development methodologies and application lifecycle management. We need an understanding of large-scale system integration principles and technical architecture. We value strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams. We seek someone who can prioritize work, meet deadlines, and operate independently within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities We design, develop, test, implement, tailor, integrate, and maintain geospatial applications, Intelli-Fiber platform capabilities, and related systems. We use ArcGIS and other GIS tools to create, maintain, update, and enhance spatial data, mapping systems, and project databases. We support DevOps, change management, and service management activities, including code releases, issue resolution, and user assistance. We investigate complex technical problems, carry out preventative maintenance, and help ensure application and system reliability, security, and performance. We partner with project teams to assess requirements, build solutions, lead initiatives when needed, and help deliver business objectives. We stay informed about new GIS and mapping technologies while encouraging continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and user training.
