The position requires expertise in managing devices such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) to support patient recovery and treatment plans. Job Details Position Description: CVICU RN that is competent to care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required; NxStage experience preferred. Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Location: In a cardiac ICU caring for both medical and surgical ICU patients, with 2:1 patient ratios including patients with advanced cardiac support devices. Shift Details: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid Nursys License, Driver's License or State ID, Ascension Profile, three professional references, and a resume. At least 1 year of relevant ICU experience. Additional Information: The role encompasses the care of critically ill cardiac patients requiring advanced life support devices and technology, with responsibilities including monitoring device functionality, administering medications, and coordinating care in a high-acuity environment.
