Job Description

Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients under the supervision of the cardiopulmonary director or supervisor. The role involves delivering both basic and advanced cardiopulmonary interventions in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and document findings accurately.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment, including EPIC systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, registration, and hospital policies, including appropriate attire.
• Disclose any licensing or credentialing hits at the time of submission, and provide unexpired license documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and current license and registration from the respiratory care board.
• Demonstrate experience in using Epic electronic health record system.
• Possess prior experience in a hospital cardiopulmonary care environment.
• Show strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Adhere to professional appearance standards, including no false nails.
