Market Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and patient transport, with a focus on evaluating patients and recommending appropriate treatment plans. This role involves explaining treatment procedures and providing essential education to patients upon discharge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning to promote secretion clearance.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy, and perform routine chest x-ray reviews.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with procedures related to respiratory care.
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and communicate with attending physicians about therapy efficiency.
• Perform set-up and self-testing on ventilatory equipment, and assist in equipment maintenance and repair.

Schedule

This position operates on a Night shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Respiratory Therapy license.
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
