Job Summary The Assistant Professor of Psychology position is responsible for teaching courses in the discipline area of Psychology. Major Duties Teaches a typical load of 12 semester-hours of undergraduate courses each semester in Psychology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Develop and design curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement. Provides advisement and academic support to students as Maintains class-related records and assesses student Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular Participate in departmental, college, and university-required activities. Minimum Qualifications Requires a master's degree, including 18 hours in Psychology or a related field. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level in traditional classroom settings and/or an established interest in scholarship to seek publications in refereed journals and other scholarly. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. from an accredited institution. Threeor more years of teaching experience Working Conditions Normal office environment within a university setting, providing both in-person and online instruction. Utilizing standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and email, along with technology-based learning materials and learning management systems.
