About the Role: The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching customers. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, performing tests, and analyzing data to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The Quality Technician collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. By maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to regulatory requirements, this role helps safeguard the company’s reputation and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Quality Technician ensures that all products consistently meet or exceed quality benchmarks, contributing to operational excellence and business success. Responsibilities: Perform routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards. Conduct various tests using precision measurement tools and equipment to assess product attributes and identify defects. Document inspection results and test data accurately in quality management systems and generate reports for review. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Assist in maintaining calibration records and ensuring all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and demonstrating compliance with quality procedures. Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in a related technical field preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection instruments. Basic understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or industry‑specific regulations. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and work instructions. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Quality Technician (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician) is highly desirable. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management software systems. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and corrective/preventive action processes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials relevant to the industry. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Skills: The Quality Technician utilizes measurement and inspection skills daily to verify product quality and ensure compliance with specifications. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting test results and identifying trends or issues that require corrective action. Strong documentation and organizational skills are used to maintain accurate records and support audit readiness. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns.
