Job Description – Full Stack Developer(CoreStory/Ionate)

Job Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Full Stack & Legacy Modernization Engineer to drive the evolution, scalability, and feature development of our enterprise platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between legacy core systems and modern cloud architecture. You will lead legacy modernization initiatives—using tools like CoreStory or Ionate to reverse-engineer mainframe platforms and forward-engineer them into scalable microservices—while building critical customer-facing workflows using Golang, Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and React.

Day-to-Day Job Duties

• Analyze Legacy Systems : Review legacy COBOL and AS/400 mainframe codebases to map out business logic and application dependencies.
• Run Spec Generation : Execute automated spec generation pipelines in CoreStory or Ionate to build comprehensive semantic knowledge graphs.
• Reverse Engineer Workflows : Translate legacy artifacts into detailed functional and technical specifications using AI-assisted code intelligence models.
• Architect Microservices : Define the target microservices architecture, schema layouts, and API boundaries for forward-engineered applications.
• Forward Engineer Code : Generate modern, production-ready backend services in Java Spring Boot and Golang using CoreStory/Ionate insights.
• Develop Core APIs : Write high-performance RESTful endpoints and real-time streaming modules (WebSockets) in Golang and Node.js.
• Build Interactive Frontends : Develop dynamic UI components, state management workflows, and complex visual dashboards using React.js or Angular.
• Manage Data Ingestion : Design data pipelines to securely ingest and parse massive enterprise datasets for system processing.
• Implement Data Grounding : Configure contextual data grounding to ensure AI engines operate accurately on enterprise-specific operational data.
• Optimize System Performance : Troubleshoot latency bottlenecks by writing Redis caching strategies and optimizing PostgreSQL or MongoDB queries.
• Maintain CI/CD Pipelines : Package services into Docker containers and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes clusters using Jenkins.
• Lead Technical Workshops : Conduct collaborative architecture reviews with client stakeholders to align modernization tracks with cloud best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Full-Stack Experience : Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience working across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Backend Engineering : At least 2 years of hands-on production experience writing enterprise-grade microservices in Golang or Java (Spring Boot).
• Frontend Development: Proven experience building responsive, interactive single-page web applications using React.js or Angular.
• Database Systems : Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL/Graph databases (MongoDB or Neo4j).
• Containerization : Practical experience containerizing software applications using Docker and managing deployments in Kubernetes.
• CI/CD & Cloud : Hands-on experience navigating automated deployment pipelines with Jenkins alongside public cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Version Control : Strong proficiency with Git workflows, branch management, and collaborative code reviews.

Must Have

• 1 year Experience using Corestory or Ionate workflows for development
• 1 year Experience on modernization using Corestory or Ionate         

Nice to Have

• Active Microsoft certifications (e.g., MICROSOFT CERTIFIED: AZURE FUNDAMENTALS ).
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development frameworks.
