Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to provide both direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process, including comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of nursing care plans, patient education, and ongoing evaluation. The role involves delivering holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area, as well as fostering collaborative relationships between patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Provide ongoing patient education and evaluation.
• Promote a holistic approach to patient care, addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Current California RN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• Experience in scrub and circulate roles, specifically in cardiac, hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology services.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Community Hospital.

Skills and Procedures

The ideal candidate should possess skills in areas including, but not limited to:

• Cardiac monitoring and surgical support.
• Robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Various surgical procedures including abdominal surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, and trauma care.

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.
• Daily patient visits: Approximately 25.
• Special procedures offered: Cardiac, hepatobiliary, ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and robotic surgery.
