Landscape Installation Foreman & Crew Member

Starting Pay Range: Landscape Crew Member: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (contingent on experience) Landscape Installation Foreman: $25.00 – $32.00+ per hour or salary option (based on experience) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Job Summary: Ground Works Land Design is hiring Landscape Installation Foremen and Landscape Crew Members to join our growing team in Westlake, OH. Our landscape teams install high-quality residential and commercial projects including planting beds, grading, sod installation, mulch, decorative stone, boulders, and seasonal landscape enhancements. Depending on experience, applicants may be considered for a leadership Foreman role or a hands‑on Crew Member position. We support an environment of growth and opportunity – we promote within! Our promotion track for this department is: Landscape Crew Member > Landscape Foreman > Production Manager or Project Manager > Operations Manager Duties / Responsibilities: Landscape Crew Members Assist with landscape installations including planting trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials Prepare soil, beds, and planting areas Install sod, mulch, decorative stone, and edging Operate mini track loaders, leaf blowers, and basic landscaping equipment Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers Support Maintenance division with cleanups, mulching, and plantings Support Foreman to ensure efficient project completion Landscape Foremen Lead landscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects Interpret blueprints and site plans for plantings and landscape features Coordinate grading, soil preparation, and planting installation Train and mentor crew members on installation techniques and plant care Communicate with Project Managers or Account Manager and occasionally client Ensure projects meet design standards, timelines, and safety expectations Oversee quality control and perform final walkthroughs Assist Maintenance division with cleanups, mulching, and planting when needed All Team Members Lead landscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects Interpret blueprints and site plans for plantings and landscape features Coordinate grading, soil preparation, and planting installation Train and mentor crew members on installation techniques and plant care Communicate with Project Managers or Account Manager and occasionally client Ensure projects meet design standards, timelines, and safety expectations Oversee quality control and perform final walkthroughs Assist Maintenance division with cleanups, mulching, and planting when needed Qualifications / Experience: Landscape Crew Members 1+ years landscaping or construction experience required Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Landscape Foremen Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape / grounds keeping Able to work successfully with limited supervision Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Spanish communication skills are a plus for all roles. Physical Requirements Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
